As a Shift Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering bespoke care packages, creating forever homes, and helping individuals make daily choices, access their communities, and achieve personal goals.

The Role:

Reporting to the Deputy Manager, the Shift Leader is responsible for leading a safe and supportive shift in our residential service. You will:

  • Lead and motivate your team by role-modelling excellent care and professionalism
  • Deliver hands-on, person-centred support to the adults we care for
  • Ensure individuals access the community safely and meaningfully, engaging in activities that support independence, skills development, and wellbeing
  • Create and maintain safe, effective care packages, supporting health, wellbeing, personal care, and medication
  • Support transitions, promote choice, control, dignity, and equality, and foster long-term stability in forever homes
  • Manage rotas, oversee reporting, and ensure compliance with CQC, company policies, safeguarding, and health & safety standards
  • Deliver meaningful activities in the home or community, responding to individual preferences and goals
  • Develop and supervise staff through coaching, guidance, and support, ensuring team cohesion and high-quality care delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ years’ experience in a senior support or leadership role in adult social care
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex behaviours
  • Passion for person-centred care, choice, independence, and meaningful activity
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop your team
  • Confident in risk management, care planning, safeguarding, and safe medication delivery
  • Flexible, proactive, and calm under pressure
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
